Context
Musilon is a music streaming platform that operates a massive content catalog of albums, tracks, and artist metadata. The core engineering challenge was content ingestion: how do you build out the catalog at scale without a team of editors manually creating posts? I built a custom plugin that fetches album/track metadata via external APIs and page crawling, normalizes it, and auto-generates the full content graph — making post creation roughly 100× faster than the team's previous manual workflow.
Alongside the ingestion engine, I shipped marketing automation built on n8n and Elasticsearch, a custom download-protection layer, and led a migration from shared to dedicated hosting. The engagement ran for 20 months.
